Frame — Cancún Offsite

Client: Frame

Overview

Frame is a payments company for high-compliance merchants — the businesses most processors won’t touch. They took 37 employees to Cancún, and we went with them and made the whole piece end to end: shot the interviews, the b-roll and the stills, cut the film, and built the graphics layer that puts the team’s own words on screen at the moment they land.

Goal

To make something that reads as the company talking rather than as an offsite recap — the culture stated in the team’s own words, not narrated over the top of them.

Creative Direction

We shot it as coverage rather than to a schedule — interviews by the water, everything else observational, so the film could be assembled from whatever the team actually said rather than from a script written in advance. Type lands on words, not on round numbers, so a card that reads “frame is hardcore” begins on the frame that word begins — the three-line cards, where each line arrives on its own spoken cue, are the payoff. One accent colour carries the whole piece, landing on roughly one word per card and nowhere else, so when it appears it reads as the brand speaking rather than as decoration. Both it and the ground were sampled from Frame’s own brand rather than eyeballed. The title is ink, not white — the sky in the opening tilt-down is nearly blown out, so a white outline would have been an invisible title.

Deliverables

  • Full offsite coverage — interviews, b-roll, and stills
  • Short film, 2:07, cut to production audio
  • Six full-bleed emphasis cards and a closing card
  • Forced-aligned subtitles across the piece
  • 4K delivery

The answer is simple

Why hasn’t someone done this before? It’s really hard.

The French call it

Joie de vivre — the joy of life.

The work

It’s almost enjoyably tedious — but it becomes this industry standard, unbreakable machine.

The people

It’s a competition to make each other better.
